Mark Gibson, NCACII, CAP, CADC
Mark assumes the role of our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) coming to Serene Beginnings Treatment Center having worked in the field of addiction for the past 14 years in a multitude of roles. This experience included behavioral healthcare administration, quality assurance, clinical programming and business development. Mark is credentialed with the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) as a NCACII, a Florida Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) and New Jersey Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Mark obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Services with a concentration in mental health in 2007. In addition to having an infectious passion for being a part of the triage piece of the treatment process, he is also a 12- year Air Force veteran bringing the vital strong organizational and disciplinary skills necessary to affect long term successful recovery outcomes. Mark originally hails from New Jersey and has 2 daughters ages 24 and 19.
Lissi Seneway, LMHC, CAP, ICADC
Lissi Seneway, always passionate about the human experience, received her Baccalaureate of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Seneway also holds a Masters of Science in Mental Health, as well as a Masters of Science in Addiction Studies from Nova Southeastern University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the Florida Department of Health, a Certified Addiction Professional in the State of Florida, an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and is a Certified Continuing Education Provider.
That passion to help people living with mental health issues and substance abuse become their authentic selves opened the door to her career as a clinician. She worked at Gratitude House, an all-women’s chemical dependency program in West Palm Beach, as a case management, admissions director, and clinician. She then became the clinical director and remained in that position for the last two years of her 8-year tenure.
Ms. Seneway also worked as a primary clinician at Caron Renaissance, was the clinical director of Recovery First in Broward County, and the clinical director of the Palm Beach Institute, the oldest treatment facility in Palm Beach County. As the clinical director of these large agencies, she managed the clinical, medical, and behavioral health technician teams.
Additionally, Ms. Seneway is an adjunct professor in psychology and sociology at the College of Health and Allied Development teaching and training clinicians in the community, has been featured as a consulting clinician on A&E’s Intervention, was selected by WPB Channel 5’s “Making a Difference” segment for her work with substance abusers in the community and has been published in the Journal of Neuroscience for her research in Developmental Psychophysiology and the US Journal of Social Work as an addiction expert.
Jeffrey Tucker is our Director of Housing and Transportation at Serene Beginnings. Jeff has been working in the recovery field since 2013, which has given him the opportunity to work in the field he is truly passionate about, while simultaneously helping others. Jeff has had training in several departments including Behavioral Health, Client Care, Intake, and Case Management. His friendly demeanor, passion for helping those in need, creativity and strong work ethic bring value to the clients and staff at Serene Beginnings. He is always looking for new ways to help support the growth of our clients, in treatment and beyond.
Jeff is responsible for overseeing and helping to develop our Family Community Housing Program. This allows him to work with clients who have made the decision to continue their recovery process in a structured living environment. He works diligently with clients in developing life skills, how to develop a sober support network and many other essential elements for having a sustainable and lasting recovery. He is a big advocate of having fun in recovery and encourages clients to engage in sober activities/hobbies.
